Our 2nd Benefit Gig was held on Saturday 7th January 2011. Once again the idea was to give local young musicians the opportunity to showcase their talent while raising funds in memory of their friend Mark.
This time we also had the pleasure of having Ten Joe Green and King play for us. They are an established band who first got together in Nether Heyford in the 1970s so it was fitting that the youngsters had the opportunity to listen to the music of a band which started out all those years ago.
The event was a great success with eveyone agreeing that they had thoroughly enjoyed the night.....and asking if it could become an annual event!
Thank you to all who came along and made it such a memorable evening and for helping raise such a lot of money in aid of Meningitis UK and Meningitis Trust.
